After being out of contact for almost 60 years, two friends from YOS 1961 were reunited a couple of weeks ago in upstate New York. Chris Hamlin (left) had remained untraced until I received a welcome message from him in December last year, with the discovery that Chris was one of the many from my own year who’d spent most of their adult life outside the UK. His story was reported in our January 2026 OB News
So we had found Chris, but he in turn was happy to hear that his old school friend Trevor Pinker (right) was also one of our USA exports!
